Bournemouth, Dorset — Touch Rugby Club
A Bournemouth-based touch rugby club built on pace, inclusion and standards. Mixed-ability sessions every Monday, a High Performance squad training Thursdays by invite, and a club whose players have just been crowned England European Champions across two age groups.
The pace, the passing, the pressure — this is what every Monday session is building towards. Footage from the England Touch Nationals at Nottingham Highfields.
Bournemouth Touch Centre started as a handful of players looking for a proper club — somewhere serious about improvement without losing the social heart of the sport. Ten-plus years ETA affiliated later, it's a club that trains hard, welcomes anyone willing to learn, and sends players all the way to England Touch honours.
Touch rugby is fast, low-contact and genuinely mixed-ability — new players are on the pitch within a session, and this photo says it better than we can: teenagers training alongside players in their sixties, same bib, same team.
England's M40s and M30s were both crowned European Champions in 2026 — BTC had players in both squads. Dean (M40) was named tournament MVP, Liam took gold with the M30s (and was named MVP for the Saxons M30s at the England Touch Nationals), Heidi picked up Most Improved Player, and 18-year-old Oli Graham capped a rapid rise through the pathway with a Euros silver medal in the U20s.

A club's history is written in results. Here's ours — from grassroots recognition to the England Touch podium.
Long before ETA affiliation, BTC was an award-winning O2 Touch Centre — right up until the programme closed in 2020. Today it's the only England Touch Association affiliated club in Bournemouth, and has held that affiliation longer than any other club in the town.
This is what "from club to country" actually looks like — one player, four years, a straight line from his first Monday session to an England Touch Euros medal.
Joined BTC in 2019 having never played contact rugby or Touch before.

BTC is proud to be backed by sponsors who believe in what the club is building — on the pitch and in the community.
Every session — Monday Touch and Thursday High Performance — runs from the same venue: BH Live's Littledown Centre in Bournemouth.
